
Writer Envy (or Man, I Wish I'd Written That!)
There are numerous articles on “writerly jealousy,” as a simple search via your browser will reveal. This post is to be yet another. However, I feel I need to begin by clarifying that, by definition, it cannot be referred to as jealousy – it is envy.

Never Say Never
It should be no secret how I feel about books within a series. As soon as I see the likes of “Book One of the Ice Dragon Series” or “Troll Hunters #17” in a novel’s title, I quickly move on to something else. The reason for this aversion? There’s a couple, actually:
